Plexus is an all-around cool After Effects plug-in. You’ve seen it plenty of places, from ads to music videos. It’s actually been used so much, that some people might be getting a little tired of it! But, there are so many more things you can do with it other than just connecting your fingers with moving lines or creating the outline of a building.
In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to create a laser engraving effect using Plexus 3 (or PL3XUS!). I also used Video CoPilot’s Optical Flares and Action Essentials 2 to create the spark effect, but you could almost as easily create the same thing using the built-in lens flare and CC Particle World.
